These are my favorite wings. I have made them for years and they are always a hit. The fast and easy preparation is a bonus, as is, you can start them marinating a day ahead of time.
1/2 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup red wine vinegar
2 Tbsp. honey
1 Tbsp. Dijon or other mustard
2 Tbsp. olive oil
4 cloves garlic, minced
2 Tbsp. minced fresh ginger, peeled
1 1/2 tsp. crushed red pepper flakes
1/4 cup dark brown sugar
1/4 tsp. black pepper
4 lbs. chicken wings, washed and dried
Whisk together all marinade ingredients in large bowl. Add chicken, turning to coat all pieces evenly. Marinate, covered, at least 4 hours and overnight if possible.
Preheat oven to 450 degrees. Place the wings on a Pam sprayed rack in broiler pan. Bake for 30 minutes or until meat registers 185 degrees. Turn oven heat to Broil and cook about 2 minutes until the skin becomes crisp. Watch carefully, do not allow to burn. Serves 8
"There are three possible parts to a date, of which at least two must be offered: entertainment, food, and affection. It is customary to begin a series of dates with a great deal of entertainment, a moderate amount of food, and the merest suggestion of affection. As the amount of affection increases, the entertainment can be reduced proportionately. When the affection is the entertainment, we no longer call it dating. Under no circumstances can the food be omitted." ~Miss Manners' Guide to Excruciatingly Correct Behaviour
